Solo performance with The Chelsea Symphony

The Chelsea Symphony opens its fourteenth season RISE UP with the September 20-21 concert series, “Here to Stay,” featuring the NYC premiere of Jeremy Crosmer’s Masks: A Heroine’s Tale with Mitsuru Kubo on viola (Friday), the Nautilus Brass Quintet performing Eric Ewazen’s Shadowcatcher (Saturday), and with both concerts in the series opened by a world premiere piece by TCS composer Mike Boyman.

Led by Music Director/Conductor, David Jeong, the CN Philharmonic orchestra will perform Walton’s Viola Concerto, joined by violist Ohhyun Kwon, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and the world premiere of Jeong's Overture for Orchestra. Founded in 2018, the CN Philharmonic has performed across the tristate area, showcasing the diversity of classical music through a mixture of traditional and modern compositions, as well as Jeong's own original symphonic works.

The JSO welcomes back Detroit Symphony Orchestra cellist and composer Jeremy Crosmer to premiere his new work inspired by Bach. New York City violist Mitsuru Kubo and JSO principal violist Clyde McKaney take center stage for this new work as well as for Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.6.
